"Moves for Change" on Energy Issues in Japan: NHK Report (Feb. 20 on Air)

After the nuclear accident at Fukushima in March 2011, the Japanese government decided to start from scratch to develop a basic plan to 2012 for Japanese energy. Junko Edahiro, the president of ISHES, is on the committee organized by the Japanese government to propose energy mix for Japan.

On February 20, 2012, NHK World (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) broadcast report on television (about five minutes) on efforts to change the direction of energy policy in Japan, and included coverage of a workshop Edahiro organized for women on the topic, in order to reflect their views in the government's decision making process.
